I just quitted my student care centre not long ago. Now I am starting to miss my teachers and friends there so I am posting a paragraph about his subject... The teachers at my student care centre are caring, helpful, kind and honest. I will introduce my teachers to you. First I will start with my supervisor... He is kind and strict, but we all love it when he organises a lot of excursions and ativities for us. Next I will say about all the teachers in my student care centre generally. They are the best teachers in all the student cares that I have went to, of course, I have not been to many. Lastly, my friends, they are indeed playful and naughty but without them I feel so quiet and lonely at home with my little boring sister, Chermine. I will still miss them though. However, quitting my student care centre is also a new experience to me. I can learn to be more independent and also take care of myself. I could be more comfortable at home with nobody snatching anything from me but I will miss the boys and girls' voice in my house doing my homework peacefully every day. Luckily, I still keep some of the email of some of my teahcers email, so I could email them whenever I wanted to or even talk to them. I am looking forward to a new experience for myself but I will always keep the joy and sorrowful times that I had in my student care centre forever, maybe if I could. :-)

It has been a long time since i posted something... On twenty-first of november, my best friend, Charmaine, and Sonia, another brownie, went for a brownies camp that is meant to complete our Chief Commisioner's badge. We had a lot of fun playing games and going to excursions like Kampong Glam, Little India and even Rochor Road. At night, if we could not sleep, we would turn to each other and tell each other our secrets and also share our joy and sorrows with each other. How fun it is! My leader, also a girl guide, Yun Jing, helped my group accomplish the tasks that we were appointed to do, and also minded our safety. She is kind and helpful and we all admire her for the good values she displayed. On the second night, we had a cultral night and were given a task to create every culture's dance steps and perform for everybody to see.I thought that that was a very meaningful thing to do! Unfortunately,Charmaine and I were playing catching in the basketball court and we bang into each other while playing. My muscle cramped and Charmaine twisted her leg so we could perform! How angry I was when I knew that I could not even dance. Huh! I muttered a prayer of thanks when I knew that Charmaine was alright the next day. However, her family was worried so they brought her home and there was left with Sonia and I representing Kong Hwa School. That night, we slept soundly as we had nothing to talk about... How sad! On the last day, which is also today, was the prize giving ceremony, and we recieved a trophy and a certificate of participation. We took a lot of group photos and both my leaders, Yun Jin and Yee Ru, promised to send us the photographs. I am looking forward to receiving the photographs. Quickly! How I wish I could go to this kind of camp again!! And also because of this camp, I had a good start for the December holidays and also learned how to be independent too! Thank you for organising such a camp!

Everybody has two birthdays. We have two birthdays because the lunar calender and the English calender dates are different. On the previous day, which was also Tuesday, it was my Chinese birthday. When I came back from my student care that day, my mother cooked mee sua for my whole family to eat. Mm... It was very delicious and I had two eggs as it was my birthday. After eating mee sua, my family met my godmother and my grandmother at Changi Airport to eat Swensens. We chatted and ate happily until about nine o'clock. Oh! It was time to go home. Quickly, my father drove my godmother and grandmother back to their homes before we went home. When I reached home, I bathed and went to bed to have an early night.

Today, in the afternoon, I went to watch a movie called "The Simpson's Movie" with my family at Vivo City. We went to seven-eleven to buy some snacks and tidbits before going to into the cinema. It was a comedy show. It is about a happy family. One day, the father called Homer brought his daughter and son to a fast food restaurant to catch a bite. While they were eating, a pig caught their attention. The father thought it was very cute and he could play with it all the time. However, the pig pooed all over the house and the mother did not like it as she needed to clean up the poos every time. Her husband then built a huge and enormous container to collect the pig's poo. When the container was full, the mother, which was Homer's wife, told him to throw it away. Homer agreed, he went to queue at the disposing bin. When he was queuing, one of his buddy called him and informed him that there was an offer at the donut stall, he did not want to waste time queuing so he went to throw the huge and enormous container at the river. Then he immediately went to the donut stall. After a while, the police noticed that the river was polluted by someone and they went to investigate. They found out that it was Homer that did it as it had his name on the container. After that incident, they were trapped inside a huge egg and everyone on that island wanted to kill Homer. Homer and his family secretly went to Alaska which was their home. They lived there happily until one day, they saw the news on television that the Environment Agency was going to destroy Springfield. The whole Simpson family, except Homer, was very worried and wanted to go back to save their island. In the end, Homer decided to go back to Springfield. The moral of the story is be considerate and do not be selfish.

Yesterday, my classmates and I went to Victoria Junior College for a science and maths fair. We were very excited as we squealed with delight. One of my classmate's mother tagged along with us. When we reached the junior college, ah! Our mouths parted but no words came out. The junior college was enormous! We also saw many other students from other primary and secondary schools. My class was led by a student in the junior college. My form teacher split us into two different groups. One group would follow my classmate's mother and the other would follow my form teacher. I was in my form teacher's group. We went to many different that had a variety of games and exhibitions. Not only that, the games were very fun and challenging. In the Maths room, I even won a junior college student. I look forward to going to a junior college again and I also hope to go a good junior college like Victoria Junior College.

Yesterday, on eighteenth July, my class, 4/7, 4/6 and my sister's class, 3/7, went to an art exhibition at DBS art centre. We were thrilled and excited so we kept on jumping and shouting. One of my classmates, Keif Tan, mother went with us. She was friendly but stern at times. When we reached the art exhibition centre, we saw many other pupils from other schools, they were also admiring the artwork there. We were told by a security guard to line up, sit down in a row and wait for our turn to come. While we waited, we chatted among ourselves. My form teacher, Miss Lee, chatted with Keif Tan's mother. An hour passed and finally, our turn came. We went inside the art exhibition room. Inside, we saw many interesting artwork from many schools, the award that they had, the category they are in and also the materials that they used. My favourite artwork was the one with butterflies of different colours fluttering here and there. I liked the way the designer designed, and the materials that they used. After about half an hour, we were told to line up again and wait for our bus. When we reached school, it was about half past twelve so my form teacher dismissed us. I look forward to going to another art exhibition like that again.
